History Stefano Nicolao Staff Awards and Prizes Video
2010
- For I.G.I. the International Association of wallpaper producers, Nicolao created two costumes inspired by Veronese’s painting entitled "La bella Nanì" and by the "Ballo in villa" by Tiepolo that were donated to the Palazzo Mocenigo Fashion and Costume Museum in Venice;

2005
- Venice Rotary Club Award for the excellence of professional activities;

1996
- Marco Polo Prize awarded by the Veneto Foreign Centre of the Chamber of Commerce Regional Association;

1995
- The New York Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art: a Venetian-style ballroom costume made in embroidered counter-cut silk with Murano glass beads, the collar and cuffs made of white interlaced feathers kept in the Museum collection

1993 - 1994
- Binche Belgio Musee International du Carnival et du Masque - the creation of Venetian costumes commissioned for the permanent exhibition held at the Museum;

1985
- Osaka Expo '85 "L'Abito Monumentale" - The silk origami-inspired creation was presented by Alessandro Mendini with his design installation in the Italian Pavilion;

1984
- Milan Triennale - Alchimia Museum - "L'abito sonoro" - a large fabric origami creation with metal foil strips was presented at the Museum inspired by an idea from designers Anna Gili and Alessandro Mendini in a live ballet performance with music by Davide Mosconi.
